The Wilseco company still manufactures a wide range of model Steam engines and accessories

The company can trace its history to the early part of the 20th century when it manufactured kitchen utensils etc.

The production of Steam models under the name Wilesco began in the 1950s, the company had started by supplying model Steam engine components under contract to the Fleischmann company prior to world war II. That experience was used to produce their own range of models.
